My daughters and I have been fortunate enough to get lessons of all sorts from Fonda for the last 10 years. We have done horsemanship, adventure trail and Cowboy dressage to name a few things. She helped my daughter Nia learn to drive her mini Gupsy and train her first young horse too! Auto! We have had so much fun and great times and still are! Fonda is an incredibly kind person who also helped us through a very hard time. She was there for us as I know she has been for others too. She Isi our coach and a very good friend. Fonda has a great connection to both rider and horse. She has teaching skills that don't quit until you "get it". Equitation was not exactly my best class. As Fonda concentrated on my riding, my horse just got better. It was a great feeling, and above all......FUN!! We then went to Canadian Nationals (Quarter Horse) in Red Deer and came in 3rd in Equitation. It had always been our weakest class, but we were so happy to do that well in a field of very good riders and horses. Thank you Fonda!

I can't say enough things about how wonderful Fonda is. She has been patient, kind, thoughtful and helped me through some very rough times both as a rider and a friend. She is a creative teacher who is able to adapt to her clients needs. A top notch coach.

Fonda is a kind, patient, amazing coach. She helped me get through some huge issues I was having after I had a bad fall. I absolutely loved the adventure trail clinics we took with her and felt it strengthened the partnership I had with my mare while having fun at the same time. I have had the pleasure of taking lessons from Fonda for the past 8 years and have participated in her many clinics! I have never met such a kind, knowledgeable and caring individual who puts her students and their horse as top priority in whatever goals they set out to achieve. She is patient and knows just how much to push you to be a better rider. She does not hesitate to get on and ride my horse so that I can visually see what I need to do. As my coach, Fonda encouraged me to show in the 2012 Quarter Horse Circuit. My very first QH experience. With her patience and knowledge we achieved VIQHA Novice Amateur All Around for 2012. Fonda has the patience of a saint. She was so helpful with my young mare who was quite the handful and also so kind when working with my husband on his horsemanship. I love the various clinics and just a good regular lesson. I can't wait to bring my new youngster in the new year.

I always looked forward to my lessons with Fonda. She was so positive and encouraging, and made me feel like I really could do it. Later she put a good foundation on my young horse. She was safety conscious, patient and thorough and never rushed me or my horse. I just love working with her!

Vinne my young Icelandic and I recently took the Adventure Trail Clinic with Fonda. Even though there were five students in the class, Fonda found time to work individually with each student and their horse. Fonda is the best teacher. I learned a lot from her in the few lessons I had, before I moved away from the Island. She has a great eye and is very supportive. If I ever get back to Nanaimo, I would take lessons again from her.

I have had the best lessons with Fonda! I started with a 2 yr old filly and progressed to showing! I love the way she teaches. I always leave having accomplished something! We've reached goals! Never with violence, always with fairness, calm and sensitivity. Fonda always finds a way that works for both my horse and myself.
